1. Brand Manager

Brand Managers plan, develop and direct marketing efforts to increase the value and performance of a specific brand, service or product. They establish the positioning of their brand compared to competitors.

At school level, any combination of subjects will work. For admission in a bachelor’s degree from a top college, the candidate should have passed in class 10+2 or its equivalent exam from recognised oard with minimum 45% marks with English as compulsory subject.

For higher studies, the student can pursue Bachelor of Business Administration/ Bachelor of Business Management/ Bachelor of Arts in Advertising & Public Relations. Once this is completed, advanced degrees can be earned in Master of Business Administration/ Master of Business Management/ Master of Arts in Advertising & Public Relations. A Brand Manager focuses on the communication and messaging of the brand to the consumer. He/she is concerned with the positioning of the product/service in the market. They can either work with the marketing department of a company or be a part of an external branding company. Companies across several sectors employ Brand Managers- FMCG, Automobile, Banking, Education, Apparel and Finance.

2. Business Development Executive

A Business Development Executive is tasked with the job of helping his or her business grow by getting more client and end-users. These are high-level sales professionals who have pre-set sales targets for a fixed period.

At school level, any combination of subjects will work. One should try and opt for English, Math, Economics and Accounting. If the school offers Computer classes, or any other classes that directly relate to marketing that will be beneficial. For admission in a bachelor’s degree in an average college, the candidate should have passed in class 10+2 or its equivalent exam from recognised Board with minimum 45% marks with English as compulsory subject.

For graduation, the student can pursue Bachelor of Business Administration/ Bachelor of Commerce/ Bachelor of Arts in Economics followed by Master of Business Administration/ Master of Commerce/ Master of Arts in Economics. A Digital Marketing Executive is responsible for engaging customers or clients with a brand via the digital space, aiming to establish, manage and enhance the brand’s online presence.

They may work in the marketing department of the company or may be a part of a dedicated digital marketing firm. 4. Sales Manager

Sales Managers direct the distribution of goods and services by assigning sales territories, setting sales goals, and establishing training programs for the organisation's sales representatives.
